Dr. Alaa Najm from Baghdad University was invited to give a lecture on "The Role of Art in Society," organized by faculty members Hussein Lutfi and Miad Aboud from the Department of Art Education. This event was part of cultural activities aimed at fostering scientific and artistic interaction between universities.<br /><br />The event began with an impressive theatrical performance presented by students from the College of Fine Arts under our supervision, focusing on important social issues. Following this, Dr. Alaa Najm delivered her lecture, addressing the impact of art on society, highlighting how it can be used as a tool for social change, and emphasizing its role in addressing societal issues and stimulating critical thinking among individuals.<br /><br />After the lecture, a lively discussion took place among the attendees, including professors and students, regarding television works that reflect societal realities and their impact on changing prevailing concepts and working towards a better reality.<br /><br />This activity aligns with the sustainability goals, particularly Goal 4, which focuses on providing quality education.
