Preventive medicine is one of the cornerstones of the healthcare system, aiming to prevent diseases before they occur, limit their spread, and minimize their complications. It focuses not only on treating a disease after its onset, but also on addressing its causes and associated risk factors, making it more effective in the long term.

Preventive medicine encompasses several levels, the most prominent of which are:

1. Primary prevention: This aims to prevent the disease from occurring in the first place, such as vaccinations, health awareness, improved nutrition, and smoking cessation.

2. Secondary prevention: This involves early detection and treatment of diseases before they develop, such as regular screenings for cancer or high blood pressure.

3. Tertiary prevention: This aims to reduce complications and improve the quality of life for patients with chronic diseases.

Promoting preventive medicine not only contributes to improving individual health but also reduces the economic burden on health systems and reduces the need for expensive treatments or prolonged hospital stays.

With the advancement of technology and artificial intelligence, it has become possible to use data to analyze disease patterns, predict them, and design more accurate and effective preventive programs.

In conclusion, preventive medicine is the smartest investment in health. Rather than waiting for disease to intervene, it is a proactive approach to protecting people and promoting well-being, and it is the best path towards a healthy and sound society.

"AL_mustaqbal University is the first university in Iraq"

al-mustaqbal University Website
