Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the third Sustainability Week was inaugurated at Al-Mustaqbal University College, with the attendance of the President of Babel University, Dr. Ameen Al-Yasiri, representing the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi. The event was also attended by the Governor of Babel, Mr. Adnan Fihan Al-Dulaimi, the Chairman of Babel Provincial Council, Mr. Asaad Al-Muslimawi, alongside several Iraqi and foreign political and academic figures.<br />In his speech, Dr. Ameen Al-Yasiri emphasized that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research places sustainability projects among its strategic priorities, seeking to foster a culture of sustainability within universities through supporting technological, environmental, and health initiatives, updating curricula, and encouraging scientific research.<br />He also commended Al-Mustaqbal University College's efforts in organizing this distinguished event, affirming that Iraqi universities play a vital role in building the nation and achieving sustainable development goals, noting that investing in higher education is an investment in Iraq's future.<br />The inauguration event included a folkloric performance presented by the National Garment House, student project exhibitions from various universities in Babel Governorate, scientific dialogue sessions, and a documentary film showcasing the history and characters of Babylon’s civilization.<br />The purpose of the event: Supporting Goal 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).<br />Al-Mustaqbal University, the First in Iraq<br /><br />
