As part of the activities of the Third International Sustainability Festival, and in celebration of the fifteenth anniversary of its founding, Al-Mustaqbal University, through its Center for Continuing Education, organized an extensive dialogue session entitled:<br />“Effective Partnership for Sustainable Education: Integrating Local Community Needs with the Role of the Education Center”, with the participation of several prominent administrative and executive figures from Babil Governorate.<br />The session was attended by:<br />• Mr. Ali Raji – General Director of Babil Education<br />• Eng. Abdul Jalil Al-Shujairi – General Director of Babil Investment Commission<br />• Eng. Mohammed Abdul Jabbar – Director of Babil Electricity<br />• Dr. Mohammed Ajrash – Director of the Public Clinics Department, Director of the Training and Human Development Center, and Representative of the Babil Health Department<br />The session was moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Redha Abdul Aati Al-Fishawi, Director of the Center for Continuing Education at Al-Mustaqbal University, who emphasized the importance of collaboration between educational institutions and government sectors in developing a training roadmap that meets local community needs and aligns with the requirements of sustainable development.<br />The session focused on the following key areas:<br />• Identifying training needs of government institutions<br />• Designing suitable workshops and development programs for human resources<br />• Exploring institutional cooperation between the university and these departments to enhance capacity building and strengthen professional competencies<br /><br />This initiative represents a practical embodiment of Goal 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, while also reflecting the university’s commitment to Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through effective coordination with relevant governmental institutions.<br />Al-Mustaqbal University, the First in Iraq.
