As part of the Sustainability Week activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal University, and as part of its commitment to promoting academic and community dialogue on sustainable development, the College of Administrative Sciences organized a workshop entitled: "Private Sector Development (Reality - Achievements - Planned)". The workshop was attended by a number of faculty members, students, and those interested in economic affairs.<br />The workshop hosted Dr. Ammar Jaafar Mahdi, Director of the Private Sector Development Department at the Ministry of Planning, who gave a rich and comprehensive presentation on the reality of the private sector in Iraq, the challenges it faces, and the most prominent achievements in this field over the past few years, in addition to future plans to activate the role of this vital sector within the national development strategy.<br />The workshop addressed several topics, including:<br />• Evaluating the reality of the private sector in light of current economic and political challenges.<br />• A presentation of the Iraqi government's initiatives to stimulate local investment and facilitate the business environment.<br /> • Future plans and policies to enhance the private sector's contribution to economic growth and job creation.<br />The workshop witnessed broad interaction from attendees, who enriched the discussion with their questions and contributions. This gave the session a lively atmosphere, reflecting the importance of the topic and the interest of academics and students in contributing to building a sustainable and comprehensive development vision.<br />This event is part of a series of scientific and research activities that the College of Administrative Sciences is keen to organize, with the aim of linking theoretical aspects with practical reality and activating the university's role in supporting sustainable national development issues.<br />Al-Mustaqbal University is the leading university in Iraq.
