Prepared by: Tabarak Ahmed Turki Al-Azzawi

Introduction
Global warming is one of the most serious environmental challenges facing planet Earth in the modern era. It refers to the gradual rise in atmospheric temperatures caused by the accumulation of greenhouse gases—such as carbon dioxide and methane—which result from human activities like burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and heavy industries.

The effects of global warming have become increasingly evident in recent decades, with unprecedented temperature rises leading to widespread climate changes, such as the intensification of extreme heatwaves.

Among the severe impacts is the degradation of ecosystems and the loss of biodiversity. Many living organisms are unable to adapt to the rapid temperature changes or the alteration of their natural habitats. This leads to the extinction of some species and a decline in others, disrupting the ecological balance that life on Earth depends upon.

Solutions to Address Global Warming

Enhancing Energy Efficiency
Improving energy efficiency in all aspects of our daily lives is currently a vital step toward achieving true environmental sustainability. This requires the use of modern and advanced technologies.

Transitioning to Clean Energy
It is essential to move toward clean energy sources, such as solar and wind power.

Reforestation
We must give special attention to reforesting affected areas, particularly those most severely impacted. Trees play a crucial role in absorbing carbon dioxide and improving air quality. Thus, restoring forests and green spaces can have a significantly positive impact on ecosystems, enhancing nature’s balance and supporting its sustainability.

Awareness and Education
Awareness and education are key components of any effective strategy to tackle environmental challenges. It is important for members of society to understand the impacts of global warming and the need to act sustainably. We must work to spread knowledge about how to protect the environment and promote lifestyle practices that reduce environmental impact.

Conclusion
It can be said that global warming is no longer merely an environmental issue—it has become an existential threat that endangers the future of humanity.

Al-Mustaqbal University the First in Iraq

linkedin College of Health and Medical Techniques
