At the conclusion of their visit to Iraq, the delegation from Mansoura University in Egypt held a series of fruitful discussions with officials from the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi. The Minister appointed His Excellency’s advisor, Professor Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan, to meet with the delegation on his behalf.<br /><br />During the meeting with the Minister’s representative, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and President of Mansoura University, Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, presented a comprehensive overview of the outcomes of the mutual visits and meetings between the two universities, as part of their efforts to establish a comprehensive strategic partnership.<br /><br />In addition to meeting with the Minister’s representative, the delegation also met with:<br /> • Professor Dr. Adnan Al-Jumaili, Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs,<br /> • Professor Dr. Lubna Khamis Mahdi, Director General of the Research and Development Department,<br /> • Professor Dr. Fares Mahdi, Director General of the Private University Education Department.<br /><br />Professor Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan welcomed the visiting delegation and conveyed the greetings of the Minister. He praised Al-Mustaqbal University for its pioneering role in supporting the initiative to internationalize higher education in Iraq, an initiative launched by the Minister to promote Iraqi universities’ openness to global experiences. He also affirmed the Ministry’s full support for all projects stemming from this unique partnership between the two universities.<br /><br />In the same context, the Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Adnan Al-Jumaili, emphasized the deep fraternal relations between Iraq and Egypt and expressed the Ministry’s readiness to provide the necessary administrative facilitation to ensure the success of this academic collaboration, in accordance with the legal and regulatory frameworks of both countries.<br /><br />Professor Dr. Lubna Khamis Mahdi, Director General of the Research and Development Department, highlighted the importance of cooperation in the fields of joint scientific research and the organization of conferences and workshops. She also praised Al-Mustaqbal University’s pioneering experience in hosting postgraduate programs from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), describing it as a significant step forward in the internationalization of higher education in Iraq.<br /><br />Professor Dr. Fares Mahdi, Director General of the Private University Education Department, valued the visit highly, considering it a genuine starting point for a fruitful scientific partnership between the two universities.
