Al-Mustaqbal University Continues Its Distinguished International Presence at GSDC 2025 and Actively Participates in Day Three Sessions

Al-Mustaqbal University continues its active and distinguished presence in the activities of the Global Sustainable Development Congress (GSDC 2025), organized by Times Higher Education in Istanbul, Turkey. The university took part in the third day of the conference, which featured key global discussions on innovation, sustainability, and academic and societal transformations in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).<br />The day began with a featured session led by the University of Hong Kong, focusing on enhancing health and well-being through Tai Chi practice. It was followed by a series of specialized sessions addressing various themes, most notably: the role of universities as drivers of social change, the application of artificial intelligence in addressing global inequalities, the empowerment of women and youth, social innovation, and the digital transformation in education. Additional topics included climate change, water resource management, and environmental governance.<br />The university was represented by an official delegation headed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsin Abd, Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, accompanied by Dr. Riyadh Hamed Salman, Director of Quality Assurance, Eng. Ali Abdul-Hussein, Director of Rankings, and several other relevant officials. The delegation actively engaged with experts and academic institutions, exchanging ideas and perspectives on aligning university strategies with the global sustainability agenda.<br />This participation reflects the university’s commitment to its global academic role in addressing pressing humanitarian challenges by fostering partnerships, adopting flexible educational policies, and empowering research and innovation in service of society.<br />These efforts align with Al-Mustaqbal University's strategic approach to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, thereby contributing to a sustainable and impactful academic future on both the local and international levels.<br />Al-Mustaqbal University, the First in Iraq
