<br />Al-Mustaqbal University, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sahira Qahtan Abdul Jabbar, Head of the Women’s Affairs Division, and the follow-up of Chief Programmer Amal Abbas Ubaid, Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, organized an educational seminar titled:<br />“The Importance of Providing a Suitable Work Environment for Women”,<br />as part of its commitment to the pillar of participation and institutional reform, and in line with the goal of achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls.<br />The seminar was organized by the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering at the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the college.<br />The seminar featured presentations by Assist. Lecturer Ghadir Haider Abbas and Engineer Aya Talib Hassan, who highlighted the importance of creating a fair, safe, and motivating work environment that enables women to perform effectively and ensures equal opportunities for professional development and leadership, in alignment with the core principles of sustainable development.<br />The seminar also addressed key challenges faced by women in work environments—especially in technical and engineering fields—and presented practical recommendations to overcome these challenges through awareness, supportive institutional policies, and the encouragement of ongoing dialogue.<br />The seminar witnessed active engagement from both faculty members and students, affirming the college's commitment to fostering a culture of equity and empowerment within the academic and professional community, and to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 5.<br />Al-Mustaqbal University, the First in Iraq.
