These systems consist of solar panels installed on buoyant platforms on water bodies like lakes, reservoirs, and ponds.<br /><br />Floating solar reduces land use conflicts, limits water evaporation, and increases panel efficiency due to natural cooling. It is ideal for integrating with hydroelectric dams, creating hybrid energy systems.<br /><br />Challenges include durability under wind and wave stress, maintenance complexity, and ecological impacts.
