Following the directives of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shaker Majdi, the university was represented by Eng. Khalid Kazem Al-Salhi, Director of the Sustainable Development Division, in a specialized workshop organized by the Ministry of Planning on August 6, 2025, to review the national policy for developing small and medium enterprises, supported by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.<br />The workshop focused on the key pillars of the policy, including financing, skill development, market access, innovation and digital transformation, and social and economic inclusion, aiming to promote economic growth and create sustainable job opportunities, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.<br />On the sidelines of the workshop, the university representative met with the ILO Country Coordinator, where Al-Mustaqbal University’s advancement in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings—especially in Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy—was praised, and a joint cooperation memorandum to support developmental and research initiatives was discussed.<br />Al-Mustaqbal University, the First in Iraq
