Al-Mustaqbal University Engineering Students Conclude Specialized Training in Maintenance and Operation of Medical Devices

The College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University concluded its field training program, organized in coordination with the Engineers Syndicate at Al-Murjan Teaching Hospital.<br />The training included both theoretical and practical aspects in the Cardiovascular CT Department at the Martyr Al-Mihrab Cardiac Catheterization Center, in addition to a specialized workshop on the maintenance of the hospital’s medical equipment. During the training, students learned about:<br />The operating principles of ultrasound devices and their electrical and electronic components.<br />Methods for diagnosing and repairing malfunctions using modern techniques.<br />Instructions for maintaining medical devices to ensure efficiency.<br />Work mechanisms adopted by biomedical engineers in specialized medical maintenance companies.<br />The program aims to enhance students’ practical skills and bridge the gap between academic learning and field application, thereby improving their competence in operating and maintaining modern medical equipment and preparing them to meet the requirements of the labor market.<br />This initiative reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to achieving the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (Quality Education) by providing advanced training programs that ensure the preparation of distinguished engineering cadres capable of serving the community and contributing to the development of the healthcare sector.<br />Al-Mustaqbal University, the First in Iraq.
