Field Trip to Al-Mustaqbal University Nature Reserve

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of the University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, Dean of the College of Law, the College of Law at Al-Mustaqbal University organized, on the morning of Saturday, December 7, 2024, a field trip to the Al-Mustaqbal University Nature Reserve. The activity was held in cooperation with the Babylon Provincial Council (Directorate of Labor and Social Affairs) and the State Home for Flower Care, with the aim of supporting orphaned children residing in the care home. The trip included educational and recreational activities designed to raise children’s environmental and social awareness.<br />A number of faculty members and students of the College of Law (Sustainability Ambassadors) participated in organizing the trip, which contributed to the realization of several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):<br />• SDG 1 (No Poverty): through providing support and care for orphaned children, thus improving their quality of life.<br />• SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being): by organizing activities that promote children’s psychological well-being and provide a safe and healthy environment.<br />• SDG 4 (Quality Education): through educational programs that enhance children’s environmental and social awareness.<br />• SDG 5 (Gender Equality): by involving all children equally in activities that support their rights and well-being.<br />• SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth): through collaboration between governmental and academic institutions to promote community participation and provide opportunities for social support.<br />• SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities): by fostering environmental awareness and contributing to the preservation of natural reserves as part of environmental sustainability.<br />Through these efforts, the College of Law seeks to promote community awareness and advance sustainable development by providing educational and recreational opportunities for orphaned children, while also supporting the local community in improving living conditions.<br />
