Joint Cooperation between the College of Engineering and Technical Engineering and the National Center for Occupational Health and Safety in Babylon

Under the patronage and attention of the Dean of the College of Engineering and Technical Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, and in line with the college’s pioneering role in serving its students and promoting a culture of sustainability, the Students’ Activities Division conducted a working visit to the National Center for Occupational Health and Safety in Babylon, represented by Eng. Asst. Lect. Ali Hassanain Mohsen Aboud, Head of the Division. During the meeting, which was hosted by Mr. Raed Abdul Ameer Naif Al-Eisawi, Director of the Center, both sides discussed prospects for joint cooperation in the fields of occupational safety and health, as well as coordinating joint programs of seminars and awareness workshops to develop students’ skills and raise their awareness in this vital field. The arrangements for the Sustainability Ambassadors Camp, to be organized by Al-Mustaqbal University at Babylon Resort, were also discussed, with the Center contributing through training and awareness activities within the camp’s program. Participants from the Center included: Eng. Muslim Dawood (Head of the Planning Division) Eng. Muslim Hanouf (Head of the Awareness & Training Division) It is worth mentioning that the National Center for Occupational Health and Safety in Babylon is one of the institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. It is concerned with organizing awareness and training programs as well as monitoring occupational health and safety standards.
