On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, the College of Dentistry at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific seminar titled “Enamel Imperfecta”, delivered by Prof. Dr. Athraa Yahya, Dean of the College of Dentistry, with the attendance of faculty members and students. During the seminar, Dr. Athraa discussed the causes of congenital dental deformities and the effects of medications and radiation on the oral and dental health of the fetus. She highlighted that one of the most significant developmental anomalies is the defect in enamel formation, which results in incomplete enamel structure, making the teeth more susceptible to decay and early loss. This seminar comes as part of the college’s ongoing scientific activities aimed at raising awareness about the causes and prevention of dental anomalies, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals focused on good health and well-being.
