On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, the College of Dentistry at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific seminar titled “Heart Valves”, delivered by Prof. Dr. Saad Hassan, with the attendance of faculty members and students. The seminar discussed the importance of heart health, the function of heart valves and cardiac muscle, and explored the connection between periodontal inflammation and cardiovascular health. The lecturer explained how oral infections can influence heart diseases and emphasized preventive and therapeutic approaches for patients with open-heart conditions and artificial heart valves. This seminar comes as part of the college’s ongoing scientific activities aimed at raising awareness of the strong relationship between oral and cardiac health, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals focused on good health and well-being.
