The Department of Dental Prosthetics Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies – Al-Mustaqbal University – organized a distinguished event entitled “World Dental Technology Day,” attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Zahraa Haleem Al-Qayem, Dean of the College. The celebration came as part of the college’s ongoing efforts to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030 and to promote awareness of the importance of innovation in the healthcare field. The event featured welcoming remarks and a series of specialized scientific workshops, most notably a workshop presented by Dr. Hassan Al-Jubouri entitled “Implant Supported Overdenture,” which discussed the integration between surgical and technical aspects in modern dental prosthetic fabrication. Another workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Abdul-Hamza on “The Importance of Zirconium in Dental Technology,” highlighting the latest advancements and the role of modern materials in enhancing both aesthetics and functionality. The celebration also included an awareness session presented by student Alaa Abdul-Kadhim on the importance of early breast cancer screening, as well as a delightful participation by children from Happy Kids Kindergarten in an activity titled “Goodbye, Tooth Decay,” aimed at promoting oral health awareness from an early age. At the conclusion of the event, participating professors, students, and guests were honored.
