On the occasion of the International Clinical Engineering Day, the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the College of Engineering – Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness activity under the theme **“Innovation for Safer Healthcare.”** The event aimed to highlight the vital role of clinical engineers in supporting healthcare systems and improving the quality of medical services. The activity included an informative presentation introducing the concept of clinical engineering and the essential role of the clinical engineer as a bridge between technology and medicine, ensuring the safe and effective use of medical devices in hospitals and healthcare centers. It also shed light on the core responsibilities of clinical engineers, including the selection, installation, and maintenance of medical equipment, as well as ensuring their safety and operational efficiency for the benefit of patients and healthcare professionals. The event emphasized the importance of innovation in developing technical solutions that contribute to safer and higher-quality healthcare. This activity comes as part of a series of initiatives organized by the Department of Biomedical Engineering to raise awareness about the importance of biomedical and clinical engineering, and to encourage students to engage in research and innovation in medical technology for scientific and societal advancement.
