The College of Health and Medical Technologies – Al-Mustaqbal University celebrated the birth anniversary of Lady Zainab al-Kubra (peace be upon her) through a special ceremony entitled “Lady Zainab al-Kubra: A Model of Exemplary Womanhood,” attended by the college’s faculty members and students.
The ceremony opened with a blessed recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the playing of the national anthem and the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq.
Prof. Dr. Dakhel Nasser Taha, Head of the Medical Laboratory Techniques Department, then delivered the College Dean’s speech, in which he emphasized the importance of drawing inspiration from the values of patience, knowledge, and steadfastness embodied by Lady Zainab (peace be upon her), and the necessity of transferring these values to university youth.
The ceremony also included a poetic segment presented by the poet Hassan Al-Labbawi, who expressed the status of Lady Zainab and her enduring stances. In addition, His Eminence Sayyid Muhammad Al-Tabataba’i Al-Hakim delivered an intellectual lecture addressing the intellectual and educational dimensions of her personality, highlighting the role of her values in guiding young people toward knowledge, awareness, and responsibility.
An engaging student competition was also held, featuring questions about the biography and life of Lady Zainab al-Kubra (peace be upon her), which added an atmosphere of enthusiasm and interaction among the participants.
The ceremony concluded with honoring His Eminence Sayyid Muhammad Al-Tabataba’i with Al-Mustaqbal University’s shield in appreciation of his valuable contributions to the success of the event. The attendees also received blessings from the banner of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), the banner of Lady Zainab (peace be upon her), and the banner of Imam Al-Ridha (peace be upon him), which imparted a special and distinctive spiritual atmosphere to the celebration.
