Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hasan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies, Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul, the college hosted today, Saturday, 15/11/2025, at 10:00 AM in the Student Activities Hall, a group of preparatory stage students. The initiative aims to broaden their scientific horizons and introduce them to the latest contemporary technologies, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence. The Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering Technologies, Dr. Zahraa Hashim, delivered an extensive lecture that included a detailed explanation of: The basic concepts of artificial intelligence and its types. How intelligent algorithms work and the process of training models. Applications of artificial intelligence in engineering, medicine, education, and industry. Practical examples demonstrating the role of AI in improving quality of life and developing work environments. The workshop relied on the content provided in the department’s training brochure, which included: An introductory overview of artificial intelligence and its origins. Its main uses in daily life, such as robotics, self-driving cars, and medical diagnostics. A simplified interactive experience to understand AI tools. A tour of the laboratories, including AI labs, robotics labs, visual effects labs, and the scientific library. Students were also introduced to the free course offered by the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering Technologies titled "Introduction to Artificial Intelligence Engineering Technologies", designed for 12th-grade students (Applied – Biological – Industrial branches), with quick registration available via the QR code provided in the brochure. The college emphasized that this workshop is part of a series of programs aimed at supporting students academically and encouraging them to choose future-oriented technical majors, in line with the rapid developments in the digital world, contributing to preparing a generation capable of keeping up with and shaping the future.
