Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies, Assistant Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul, the college today, Saturday, 15/11/2025, at 10:00 AM in the Student Activities Hall, welcomed a group of high school students as part of an initiative aimed at broadening their scientific horizons and introducing them to the latest contemporary technologies, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence.
Dr. Zahraa Hashim, Head of the Department of AI Engineering Technologies, delivered an extensive lecture covering:
The basic concepts of artificial intelligence and its types.
How intelligent algorithms work and the process of training AI models.
Applications of artificial intelligence in engineering, medicine, education, and industry.
Practical examples demonstrating the role of AI in improving quality of life and enhancing work environments.
The workshop relied on the content provided in the department’s training brochure, which included:
An introductory overview of artificial intelligence and its origins.
Key applications in daily life, such as robotics, self-driving cars, and medical diagnostics.
A simplified interactive experience to understand AI tools.
A tour of the laboratories, including AI labs, robotics, visual effects labs, and the scientific library.
Students were also introduced to the free course offered by the Department of AI Engineering Technologies entitled “Introduction to AI Engineering Technologies,” specifically designed for high school seniors (Applied, Biological, and Industrial tracks), with quick registration available via the QR code provided in the brochure.
The college emphasized that this workshop is part of a series of programs aimed at supporting students academically and encouraging them to choose future-oriented technical specialties in line with the rapid developments of the digital world, contributing to the preparation of a generation capable of meeting future requirements and shaping it.
