Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies, Asst. Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, and under the supervision of the Head of the Quality Assurance and Academic Performance Division, Dr. Zahraa Hashim Kareem, the members of the Quality Assurance and Academic Performance Division delivered an awareness workshop for the students of the Department of Electrical Technology Engineering entitled: “Engineering Technical Academic Accreditation Standards and the Importance of Their Application in the Academic Program.” The workshop included a simplified explanation for students on: The concept of engineering technical academic accreditation. The requirements and standards of accreditation specific to the program. The role of the student in achieving quality and enhancing academic performance. The importance of documentation, discipline, and adherence to standards inside laboratories and classrooms. The division members also presented practical examples and awareness methods to illustrate how these standards reflect on the quality of education and the future of graduates in the labor market. The workshop witnessed wide interaction from the students and numerous questions and inquiries. This workshop, held under the patronage and direct guidance of the Dean, comes as part of the college’s efforts to enhance the culture of quality and support ongoing preparations to obtain engineering technical academic accreditation. It aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education, through improving the quality of academic programs and providing an advanced learning environment that elevates student performance.
