The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the College of Engineering – Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness workshop titled The Code of Addiction, in alignment with **Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being)**, which aims to enhance public health and ensure safe, risk-free living conditions.
The workshop focused on drug-abuse preventionand raising health awareness among various segments of society. It addressed the concept of addiction, its causes, risks, and its negative impact on individuals, families, and society. The workshop also highlighted key preventive strategies as well as psychological and medical support methods to reduce the spread of addiction.
The session was presented by **Specialist Pharmacist Ghadeer Kazem Bayei who delivered scientific and awareness-based content supported with real-life examples and recent data, contributing to enriching the discussion and encouraging participants to engage and ask questions.
The workshop witnessed a large attendance of students and staff, with active discussions that reflected the audience’s interest in the topic and the importance of awareness in this field.
