The College of Dentistry at Al-Mustaqbal University continued its scientific seminar titled “Drugs: Their Effects on Oral and Dental Health, Risks, and Prevention Methods,” dedicating the second day to college students as part of an integrated awareness program. During the student session, Dr. Ahmed Turki Hani delivered an informative lecture outlining the major harmful effects of drug use on oral and dental health. He explained the biological and behavioral consequences of substance abuse, along with early detection signs and the dentist’s role in managing such cases. Dr. Waleed Jassim supervised the organization and flow of the seminar’s second day, ensuring smooth implementation of activities, including the distribution of awareness brochures to students. These brochures provided preventive guidance, information on seeking help, and recommendations for maintaining a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. This seminar forms part of the college’s broader educational mission to enhance students’ health awareness and strengthen the culture of social responsibility within the university community.
