As part of the awareness activities organized by the College of Engineering – Department of Chemical
Engineering and Petroleum Industries, a group of third-year students distributed a survey on domestic violence. The initiative aims to gather students’ opinions, understand the prevalence of this issue, and assess its impact on both the university and family environments.
The survey is designed to collect real data to support the preparation of reports and educational materials that promote a culture of non-violence, respect for the rights of all family members, and encouragement of behaviors that foster family stability. The activity also seeks to enhance students’ role in social responsibility and empower them to highlight social issues that influence community development.
This effort is part of the college’s ongoing awareness initiatives and contributes to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, while promoting a safe and conscious university environment.
