We are pleased to announce the launch of a field analysis study entitled: "Analyzing the Causes of Recurring Monitor Malfunctions in the ICU and Developing a Preventive Maintenance Plan."
Study Significance and Results:
• Root Cause Analysis: The study focused on identifying the root causes of frequent patient monitor malfunctions in the intensive care unit.
• Preventive Maintenance Plan: As a culmination of the analysis, the study presents a comprehensive preventive maintenance plan specifically designed to minimize future malfunctions and extend the lifespan and efficiency of these vital devices.
• Fieldwork and Application: The research was conducted by a team of students from the College of Engineering, Biomedical Engineering specialization, Future University, as shown in the attached photos, during their work at the hospital and in front of Imam Al-Sadiq Hospital. This qualitative study was conducted under the supervision of Professor Mohamed Abdelkrim Razouki, who led the team in transforming field challenges into applicable engineering solutions.
Who is this study for?
This study is essential for: hospital administrators, biomedical engineers, maintenance technicians, and all staff working in intensive care units.
Discover how a new preventive maintenance model can ensure the highest levels of vigilance and safety in intensive care units.
