Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the Pediatrics Branch at the College of Nursing – Al-Mustaqbal University held its scientific symposium today, Tuesday, December 2, 2025, titled:
“Traditional Methods and Unsafe Practices Based on Folk Heritage in Treating Children in Iraq.”
The event took place in the Engineering Hall – Third Floor – University Presidency Building.
The symposium was attended by a number of professors, faculty members, and students. Among the attendees was Professor Dr. Khamis Bandar, Dean of the College of Nursing – University of Babylon, who praised the importance of the topic and the knowledge it offers in raising health awareness within the community.
The symposium began with the Iraqi national anthem, followed by a performance presented by children from the Smart Child Model Kindergarten, which received great audience interaction.
The scientific session then commenced with lectures delivered by:
