In line with the orientations of the Future University, represented by its President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, towards expanding openness to foreign and local universities, foremost of which are the universities of the Kurdistan Region, a senior official delegation from the university visited Sulaymaniyah Polytechnic University to discuss the prospects for academic cooperation and strengthening joint partnerships.
The delegation was headed by Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, with the participation of Prof. Dr. Tariq Jawad Kazem, Director of the Department of Scientific Affairs, and Dr. Samir Badrawi, Director of the Department of Cultural Relations. The delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Hoshyar Abdullah Aziz, President of Sulaymaniyah Polytechnic University, Dr. Bakhtiar Sharif, Assistant to the President of the University, and a number of members of the advanced owners.
The meeting witnessed an extensive discussion of the most prominent areas that can form the basis for cooperation between the two sides, including the possibilities of implementing joint research projects, organizing scientific conferences and training workshops, in addition to discussing exchange programs for professors and students and developing academic capabilities. The two sides also discussed opportunities for cooperation in the fields of classifications and quality, and enhancing joint student activities, which reflects positively on the development of the university environment.
At the end of the visit, the two parties signed a memorandum of scientific and cultural understanding that embodies this common direction and establishes a practical framework for expanding cooperation during the next phase, contributing to the consolidation of the position of the two universities within the network of distinguished academic institutions at the national and regional levels.
