The Department of Cybersecurity at the College of Science – AL-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness activity during which an informational brochure titled “Vaping… A Trendy Look with a Threatened Health” was distributed, with the aim of raising students’ awareness about the health risks associated with electronic cigarettes and vaping. The activity witnessed the participation of the Dean of the College of Science, Asst. Prof. Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, who praised the department’s efforts in implementing awareness initiatives. He emphasized the importance of promoting a healthy culture among students and enhancing awareness of harmful practices that threaten their health and safety on campus. The event included a simplified presentation of the major health damages caused by vaping on the respiratory system and blood circulation, in addition to the impact of inhaled chemical substances on the user’s health in both the short and long term. The brochure also featured warning illustrations and direct messages encouraging students to avoid electronic smoking and reinforce a “No Smoking” culture within the university. This activity comes as part of the initiatives of the Department of Cybersecurity aimed at creating a healthy university environment and encouraging students to adopt proper lifestyle habits in line with the university’s goals of promoting health awareness and supporting sustainable development.
