Under the supervision of the College of Engineering, Al-Mustaqbal University hosted a distinguished promotional event presented by the faculty and students of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Oil Industries. The event aimed to support the Sustainable Development Goal related to Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (SDG 9) and to raise students’ awareness of the role of this discipline in advancing the energy sector and modern industries.
The event, held on Thursday, showcased recent developments and innovations in chemical engineering through interactive stations where faculty members provided detailed explanations about the curricula, future career opportunities, and the skills graduates need to engage in the oil and industrial labor markets.
Students of the department also presented live practical models demonstrating the application of chemical technologies in material processing, production efficiency improvement, and industrial process management, giving attendees a close-up view of the practical aspects of the discipline.
The event received significant interaction from students and visitors, who asked numerous questions about the field’s prospects, development opportunities, and the requirements for academic and professional success.
This initiative aims to enhance awareness of the importance of chemical engineering in supporting the national economy and to guide students toward academic choices that open broad career opportunities in the oil and energy industries.
