A group of fourth-year students from the Biomedical Engineering Department conducted an awareness campaign as part of their student activities aimed at promoting health awareness on campus. The campaign, which focused on the dangers of smoking and its negative effects on individuals and society, aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being). Supervised by Professor Iman Yasser Hussein and Engineer Zahraa Mohammed Kadhim, the campaign aimed to highlight the health risks of smoking, including heart and lung diseases and cancer, as well as to educate students about the effects of secondhand smoke and the correct methods for quitting.
The campaign included distributing informational brochures to students to raise awareness about the dangers of smoking and the importance of prevention.
