College of General Medicine Organizes a Scientific Workshop Entitled “Neuroplasticity and Learning”

The College of General Medicine organized a scientific workshop entitled “Neuroplasticity and Learning: How Does the Brain Change with Study and Experience?” (Neuroplasticity & Learning Ability), presented by Dr. Zahraa Tariq Hassoun. This workshop was held as part of the college’s efforts to enhance scientific awareness and highlight the latest concepts in neuroscience and learning. The workshop addressed the concept of neuroplasticity and its role in developing mental abilities, the mechanisms through which the brain adapts to learning and experience, and the impact of these processes on improving academic performance and cognitive skills, in addition to the applications of these concepts in both medical and educational fields. The workshop witnessed notable attendance and active interaction from students, with the discussions emphasizing the importance of understanding brain mechanisms in supporting the educational process and developing mental capabilities. This workshop comes as part of a series of scientific activities organized by the College of General Medicine, aiming to keep pace with recent scientific developments and to promote scientific culture among its members.
