As part of Al-Mustaqbal Water Conservation Week activities, Al-Mustaqbal University organized a distinguished scientific seminar at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Industries in the College of Engineering, with participation from faculty members, students, and environmental sustainability enthusiasts. The seminar focused on sustainable building design and its impact on water conservation, including water-saving plumbing systems, greywater reuse, rainwater harvesting, and the integration of advanced technologies for efficient water management within residential and service buildings. Successful examples of environmentally friendly buildings were also presented, emphasizing the importance of incorporating water efficiency standards during design and construction phases to protect natural resources and reduce operational costs. The seminar concluded by highlighting the role of students and engineers in adopting innovative designs that address water scarcity challenges, contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation.
