Medical biology is one of the vital branches of biology that focuses on studying the biological foundations related to human health and diseases. It aims to understand the cellular and functional structure of the human body, as well as the study of disease-causing microorganisms and their mechanisms of action. Medical biology is concerned with essential biological processes such as cell division, genetics, immune response, and metabolism, as these processes play a direct role in explaining the development of diseases, their diagnosis, and treatment. It also contributes to the advancement of modern medical methods, including laboratory diagnostics, molecular techniques, and pharmaceutical therapies. Understanding the interaction between genetic and environmental factors is a key aspect of medical biology, as it helps explain individual susceptibility to various diseases and supports the development of more accurate preventive and therapeutic strategies. The importance of medical biology lies in its wide applications in clinical medicine, medical research, and public health, making it a fundamental pillar for improving healthcare quality and promoting human well-being.
