In line with its commitment to strengthening academic presence and expanding the horizons of international scientific cooperation, Mustaqbal University participated as a sponsoring institution in the Third International Conference on Health and Medical Technologies, organized by Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University and hosted by Istanbul Aydin University during 17–18 December 2025. The conference witnessed wide participation from Iraqi and international universities and academic institutions, in addition to representatives of the industrial and medical sectors.
The university was represented at this scientific event by Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Mustaqbal University, accompanied by a delegation from the College of Health and Medical Technologies. As part of the conference activities, Dr. Ali Shaker Majdi, Dean of the College of Engineering, delivered a speech on behalf of the University President, in which he emphasized the importance of scientific research in supporting medical innovation and enhancing integration between health and technological fields, contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The conference was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, represented by Professor Dr. Salah Al-Fatlawi, Head of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, with the participation of Professor Dr. Maysar Al-Abbadi, Cultural Attaché in Ankara, Dr. Ibrahim Aydin, President of Istanbul Aydin University, and Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University.

The conference featured distinguished scientific participation through the presentation of 172 research papers addressing modern health technologies, artificial intelligence, digital applications, and medical industries and devices. The aim was to employ research outcomes in practical applications that contribute to the development of the healthcare sector and support economic development.
The conference activities also contributed to the exchange of expertise and the strengthening of scientific cooperation among researchers and international institutions, supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in the areas of good health and well-being and quality education.
At the conclusion of the conference, a number of scientific figures, researchers, and supporting institutions were honored in recognition of their effective efforts and contributions to the success of this scientific event, which reflects Mustaqbal University’s vision to be a center of scientific and technological excellence and a source of innovation in the fields of health and medical technologies.
