College of Education Holds an Awareness Seminar on Women’s Addiction to Social Media

As part of the activities of the National Strategy for Iraqi Women / Pillar Three, Paragraph (1), the Women’s Affairs Unit in the College of Education organized an awareness seminar titled “Women’s Addiction to Social Media,” presented by the Assistant Lecturer Iltifat Alawi Al-Hussaini, Head of the Women’s Affairs Committee in the Department of English. The seminar was held under the supervision of the Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit in the College of Education, Professor Dr. Thanaa Bahaa Al-Din, on Wednesday, December 17th, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., in Hall (501) on the fifth floor of the Humanities Building. It targeted students and faculty members of the Department of English. The seminar discussed the concept of social media addiction and its negative effects on women, families, and society. It also highlighted prevention and treatment methods to reduce this phenomenon, contributing to raising social awareness and promoting the wise use of modern technologies. The seminar witnessed the attendance of the Head of the University’s Women’s Affairs Division, Assistant Lecturer Mary Imran Mahdi, along with a number of faculty members and students, in support of efforts aimed at empowering women, protecting families, and promoting community stability. #College_of_Education #AlMustaqbal_University
