As part of its continuous efforts to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application, the Department of Anesthesia Technologies at the College of Health and Medical Technologies – Al-Mustaqbal University organized a distinguished scientific field visit to the Burns Department at Imam Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) Hospital for second-year students. The visit was supervised by Dr. Talib Chechan Al-Shammari, a faculty member of the department, with the participation of a number of lecturers from the Department of Anesthesia Technologies. The visit aimed to familiarize students closely with modern clinical work mechanisms and to enhance their practical skills in dealing with burn cases, in line with the requirements of the healthcare sector and the labor market. The visit included: A scientific meeting with the Hospital Director, Dr. Ahmed Halim Abdulameer Al-Shammari, during which avenues of academic and training cooperation were discussed. A humanitarian initiative represented by the donation of a number of cannulas and various burn dressings to support the Burns Ward. A meeting with the representative of the Turkish company operating at the hospital and supervising the Burns Ward, who praised the humanitarian initiative and the high level of awareness and responsibility demonstrated by Al-Mustaqbal University students. A specialized scientific lecture delivered by the Burns Department staff, addressing the latest scientific methods in the diagnosis and treatment of burns. A visit to the burns operating theater and an overview of the modern medical devices and technologies used in this field. This visit reflects the Department of Anesthesia Technologies’ commitment to preparing students with solid scientific competence and practical field experience, while also reinforcing humanitarian and professional values throughout their academic journey.
