I take great pride in recalling the outstanding achievements accomplished by Al-Mustaqbal University in the fields of higher education and academic excellence during the years 2024–2025. Throughout this period, the university maintained its leading position by ranking first in various local and international classifications in Iraq, surpassing its counterparts among private universities and colleges, and in several indicators, exceeding governmental and international universities. The most prominent achievements are as follows: 1- At the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, the university was awarded First Distinguished University Awards for the years 2022 and 2023 during the Science Day Ceremony held on 30/12/2024, granted by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. 2- The university achieved first place in the Iraqi National Ranking 2024, with seven of its academic departments ranking first among public and private universities, marking a significant national achievement. 3- The university obtained Institutional Accreditation, confirming that all its academic programs are fully accredited. In addition, the College of Pharmacy received Programmatic Accreditation, with ongoing efforts to obtain American accreditation. 4- Official approvals were obtained to launch international postgraduate programs in cooperation with Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), as well as a Master’s Program in Law in partnership with Mansoura University, Arab Republic of Egypt. 5- Al-Mustaqbal University achieved first place globally in Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG-7) related to clean energy, becoming the first Iraqi and Arab university to attain this achievement according to the THE Impact Rankings. 6- The university ranked first among public and private universities in Iraq in the Sustainable Development Goals rankings within the 201–300 band, becoming the first Iraqi university to reach this level according to THE Impact Rankings. 7- The university achieved first place nationally in the Times Interdisciplinary Science Rankings, issued by Times Higher Education in cooperation with the German Schmidt Foundation. 8- The university ranked first among private universities and colleges in the Webometrics Ranking. 9- Al-Mustaqbal University joined the International Association of Universities (IAU) affiliated with UNESCO and headquartered in Paris. 10- The university ranked first in Iraq among public and private universities in the US News 2025 Rankings. 11- The university won three First Excellence Awards in Scientific Research during the Iraqi Science Day, evaluated by Clarivate, as follows: a- First Excellence Award in Engineering and Technology Sciences. b- First Excellence Award in Medical and Health Sciences. c- First Excellence Award in Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences. 12- The university received the First Distinguished Private University Award for 2025, granted by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research during the Science Day ceremony. 13- Al-Mustaqbal University was ranked among the top Arab universities in the Arab University Rankings issued by Times Higher Education, placed within the 101–125 band Arab-wide and 3rd in Iraq. 14- The university achieved second place nationally and first among private universities in the QS Sustainability Rankings issued by the United Kingdom. 15- Al-Mustaqbal University ranked third nationally and first among private universities in the Green Metric World University Ranking issued by Indonesia. 16- The university ranked first among private universities and fifth nationally in the Arab Universities Ranking issued by the Association of Arab Universities. These achievements affirm that the academic and administrative staff of Al-Mustaqbal University continue their journey of excellence and dedication, working diligently to strengthen the university’s position as a leading academic institution with a significant impact on scientific research, higher education development, and community service.
