As part of the English Language Week activities held at the university, and in an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and intellectual competition, a joint academic competition was organized bringing together students of the Department of English, College of Education, and their counterparts from the Department of English, College of Arts.
Distinguished Academic Supervision
The competition was marked by a high level of organization and direct supervision by a group of distinguished female lecturers. The event was held under the supervision of:
• Asst. Lec. Rasha Ihsan, Coordinator of the Department of English, College of Education.
• Asst. Lec. Zainab Kareem, Lecturer at the College of Education.
• Asst. Lec. Baraa Sattar, Lecturer at the College of Arts.
Enjoyable Learning and a Spirit of Competition
The competition was not merely a test of knowledge, but an enjoyable educational experience that focused on vocabulary development and English language learning skills. It included several competitive rounds in which students demonstrated remarkable linguistic proficiency, adding vitality and excitement to the festival’s activities and contributing to strengthening academic ties between students of both colleges.
At the conclusion of the competition, the supervising committee praised the participants’ cultural and academic level, emphasizing that such activities help break the routine of traditional education and open wider horizons for student creativity.
