As part of the series of scientific and awareness activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal University, Lecturer M.M. Suja Zahir Hamed held an extensive awareness seminar highlighting the phenomenon of “Mobile Phone Addiction” and its psychological and social effects on youth and students. The seminar addressed the underlying causes of excessive use of smart devices, as well as the potential health and educational risks, while presenting a set of solutions and alternatives to guide students toward more balanced usage that supports their academic journey. In a notable initiative, M.M. Suja Zahir Hamed announced during the seminar her plan to prepare an awareness play addressing the same issue, emphasizing that art serves as an effective medium and a visual message that reaches the audience more quickly and deeply. The aim is to enhance cultural and social awareness within the university campus. The seminar witnessed a remarkable turnout, including several department heads and coordinators, a distinguished group of faculty members, and a large number of students who enriched the session with valuable contributions and discussions.
