Vinca belongs to the Apocynaceae family and is known for its ability to grow and spread in a climbing or creeping manner. Scientific Name and Classification Common name: Climbing Vinca Family: Apocynaceae Botanical Description The climbing vinca is a perennial or annual herbaceous plant with creeping or climbing stems. Its leaves are oval-shaped and glossy green, while its flowers are five-petaled and come in various colors such as white, pink, purple, and blue. The plant is characterized by continuous flowering over long periods. Environment and Cultivation Methods The climbing vinca grows well in warm and temperate environments and prefers: Partial to full sunlight Light, well-drained soil Moderate irrigation without overwatering It can be propagated by seeds or cuttings and is considered relatively drought-tolerant.
