The College of Dentistry organized a scientific trip for first-year students to the Al-Hilla Contemporary Museum, with the attendance of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Athraa Yahya Al-Hijjazi. This activity was held as part of the College’s programs aimed at enhancing students’ cultural and intellectual awareness.
The trip aimed to introduce students to the cultural and civilizational heritage, and to raise awareness of the importance of museums as educational institutions that contribute to broadening students’ perspectives and linking academic knowledge with cultural and human dimensions. The visit also provided students with an opportunity to interact directly with artistic and historical exhibits, thereby enhancing their critical thinking and aesthetic appreciation.
The importance of this trip lies in supporting the College’s vision of preparing students who are academically and culturally well-rounded, while fostering teamwork and a sense of belonging among students. Moreover, this initiative aligns with the principles of sustainability by supporting experiential learning beyond the classroom, preserving cultural identity, and promoting lifelong learning to build a conscious generation capable of making positive contributions to society.
