A scientific workshop was held for first-year students in the Department of Electrical Engineering Technologies entitled “Neural Engineering and How to Simulate the Brain Using Electricity.” The workshop was presented by Engineer Israa Issa Ibrahim in Laboratory (305), as part of the scientific activities aimed at broadening students’ horizons and introducing them to modern engineering disciplines. The workshop addressed the concept of neural engineering and its importance in linking engineering with neuroscience, along with a simplified explanation of how the brain functions from an electrical perspective and how neural signals can be simulated using engineering technologies. It also highlighted the practical applications of this field in medicine and modern technology. The workshop witnessed notable student engagement, as participants showed strong interest in the topic and raised several questions and inquiries, creating an academic atmosphere that enhanced their understanding and encouraged further research and exploration in this advanced field.
