The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced today the results of the 2025 Iraqi University Ranking, which included the evaluation of more than one hundred public and private universities according to precise scientific criteria reflecting the level of institutional performance and the quality of higher education and scientific research in Iraq. The Ministry stated that the ranking, prepared by the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, included the evaluation of 103 public and private educational institutions, based on nine main pillars: institutional accreditation, international rankings, scientific research effectiveness, sustainable development and green indicators, assessment of the scientific and academic reality and compliance standards, awards, international diversity, occupational health and safety and environmental protection, and university activities. The ranking results showed that Al-Mustaqbal University topped the list of private universities, while Warith Al-Anbiya University came in second place, and the Islamic University in third. Among public universities, the University of Baghdad came in first place, followed by the University of Technology in second, and the University of Basra in third. Al-Mustaqbal University achieved a score of 62.46 in the rankings, surpassing the University of Baghdad, which scored 60.07. This is a clear indicator of the institutional and research excellence achieved by the university. On this occasion, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, congratulated the university community, emphasizing that this national achievement reflects the fruits of strategic planning, institutional work, and genuine investment in scientific research and quality education. He affirmed that Al-Mustaqbal University is committed to developing its academic programs, enhancing its research environment, and expanding its scientific partnerships, thereby solidifying its position among leading universities locally and in accordance with approved national and international standards.
