Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Asst. Prof. Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, and the Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Sciences, Dr. Ahmed Adnan Al-Muhanna, the Department of Artificial Intelligence Sciences organized a scientific workshop entitled: “Encryption and Its Importance in Computer Science” The workshop was presented by Lecturer Assistant Hadi Salah Hadi, on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., in the Medical Building Hall at Al-Mustaqbal University. The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of encryption and its types, highlight its essential role in protecting digital data and information, and explain its applications in cybersecurity, networks, and intelligent systems. It also included practical examples demonstrating modern encryption mechanisms and their importance in addressing increasing cyber threats. This workshop is part of a series of scientific activities organized by the Department of Artificial Intelligence Sciences to enhance students’ academic skills, strengthen practical knowledge, and keep pace with rapid developments in computer science fields, reflecting Al-Mustaqbal University’s leading position among private universities in Iraq.
