Abstract The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) has led to significant transformations in modern healthcare systems, particularly in nursing practice. This article aims to highlight the role of artificial intelligence in improving the quality and efficiency of nursing services through clinical decision support, reduction of medical errors, and improved time and resource management. It also discusses the challenges associated with AI implementation and emphasizes the importance of ethical and secure use of AI in nursing practice. Introduction Nursing is a fundamental component of healthcare delivery, as nurses play a critical role in patient monitoring, health assessment, and implementation of therapeutic interventions. Artificial intelligence represents a powerful innovation that contributes to safer, more efficient, and evidence-based healthcare services. Concept of Artificial Intelligence in Nursing Artificial intelligence in nursing refers to the use of intelligent computer-based systems, including machine learning, big data analytics, and expert systems, to support nurses in clinical decision-making, improve assessment accuracy, and enhance patient safety. Role of Artificial Intelligence in Improving Nursing Services Artificial intelligence enhances the quality of nursing care by enabling continuous monitoring of vital signs and early detection of health deterioration. AI-based decision support systems assist nurses by providing evidence-based recommendations, thereby reducing reliance on subjective judgment alone. Furthermore, AI contributes to reducing medical errors, particularly in medication administration, and improves time management by automating routine tasks such as documentation and care scheduling. Challenges and Ethical Considerations Despite its benefits, the application of artificial intelligence in nursing faces challenges related to data privacy, information security, and the need for adequate training of nursing staff. Ethical and regulatory frameworks are essential to ensure the safe and responsible use of AI technologies in healthcare settings. Conclusion Artificial intelligence is a valuable tool for advancing nursing services and improving healthcare quality.
