In support of women’s issues and in promoting their role in society, and under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division, the Women’s Affairs Unit in the Department of Intelligent Medical Systems / College of Science organized an awareness campaign entitled: “Women’s Safety Is Our Responsibility – From the Sustainable Development Goals.” The campaign was supervised and implemented by Assistant Lecturer Najat Hamid Jasim. It aimed to raise awareness of the importance of providing a safe environment for women, promoting a culture of respect for their rights, and protecting them from all forms of violence and discrimination, thereby contributing to building a balanced and secure society. This campaign aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 5 (Gender Equality), which emphasizes empowering women and ensuring their full and effective participation in various aspects of life. It also supports Sustainable Development Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by reinforcing concepts of community safety and social justice. The campaign included awareness and guidance activities highlighting the role of academic institutions in supporting women’s issues and strengthening the principles of shared responsibility for their safety and security, affirming Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and serving the community.
