Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Future University, and under the supervision of Asst. Lecturer Mary Imran Mahdi, Head of the Women’s Affairs Division, and presented by Asst. Lecturer Sorour Hafidh Mohammed / College of Agricultural Technologies, a workshop entitled “Water Is Life… Let Us Protect It” was delivered on Saturday, 3 January 2026.
This workshop aimed to raise awareness about the importance of water and to explain simple and effective ways through which we can conserve every drop, because every drop makes a difference. Women and families play a pivotal role in instilling a culture of rational water consumption, as they are directly responsible for managing resources within the household—from changing daily usage habits to monitoring maintenance of leaks and using water-saving technologies to ensure sustainability.
Enhancing community awareness of the risks of water scarcity and climate change, and introducing optimal methods of water use, is a fundamental element in safeguarding water and environmental security and in building a conscious society capable of confronting the challenges of diminishing water resources.
This activity comes in implementation of the Third National Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security (Prevention and Protection Pillar), and in pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and Goal 13 (Climate Action)
