Al-Mustaqbal University Launches Its National Art Festival “When Art Paints the Courage of the Nation” in Celebration of Army and Police Day

In an atmosphere filled with national pride and honor, Al-Mustaqbal University – College of Fine Arts announces the launch of its major artistic festival tomorrow, held under the slogan: “When Art Paints the Courage of the Nation,” on the occasion of celebrating the Iraqi Army Day and Police Day, in appreciation of the sacrifices and bravery of the nation’s protectors. The festival is organized in cooperation with a number of universities, the Babylon Directorate of Education, the Open Educational College, and the Babylon Directorate of Youth and Sports, aiming to make art a message of loyalty and gratitude for the great sacrifices made by Iraq’s security forces. The festival will continue from January 10 to January 12, 2026, featuring a rich and diverse program of artistic activities, including a carpet painting symposium, presentations of modern artistic techniques, creative artworks that blend calligraphy with carpet art, as well as sculpture, handicrafts, ceramics, and glass painting. The festival’s activities will conclude with a performance by the National Chanting Ensemble, adding an authentic patriotic spirit to the event and highlighting the role of art as a universal language that expresses belonging, identity, and love of the homeland. This festival embodies courage in color and transforms art into a vibrant mirror of loyalty and appreciation for the sacrifices of Iraq’s heroes, delivering a creative message that affirms the harmony between culture and .
