he Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering organized an awareness campaign entitled “Technology Restores Hope… From Design to Application”, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Firas Thaer Raouf and Lecturer M. Maryam Ghassan Ghaffar, as part of its efforts to promote a culture of technological innovation and to link scientific knowledge with practical application.
The campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of using modern technologies across various scientific and practical fields, while highlighting the pivotal role of technological innovation in improving quality of life, particularly in engineering and medical domains. This initiative contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, by encouraging innovation and the adoption of advanced technological solutions, as well as Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, through supporting technologies that enhance healthcare services and overall quality of life.
The campaign also supports Goal 4: Quality Education by fostering creativity and innovation among students and strengthening the connection between theoretical knowledge and practical application. This approach helps build a generation capable of keeping pace with technological advancements, addressing contemporary challenges, and actively contributing to sustainable development.
